Our mission is to raise awareness about established, reputable charities, companies, associations, and organizations providing emergency aid,
disaster relief, financial support, medical and mental health care,
and other urgently needed assistance to Ukraine and its people.
In addition, we are working to ensure that the history of Ukraine, and especially its long struggle for freedom, is both preserved and shared. Projects include collecting and archiving the stories of individual
Ukrainians and creating an innovative, immersive, and entirely
virtual "Museum of Ukrainian Independence" that will be
accessible to all, at any time, on the internet.
We do not solicit or accept donations; we serve more
as a platform to inform the world that Ukraine
urgently needs humanitarian aid.
This website, AmericansforUkraine, was created on
February 27, 2022.
As noted above, one of our primary missions is to bring greater attention to the many individuals and institutions working to help Ukraine and
its people. All of the companies and organizations below are
listed alphabetically, all text and every photo/logo is from each organization's own website, and there is a hyperlink in the
description that goes directly to the organization's
Ukrainian efforts, since many of them are active in
other parts of the world.
Because there are hundreds of for-profit companies working to support Ukrainians financially, the ones below are examples of how different companies, as well as business councils, are providing economic
assistance. Although the approximately 60 nonprofits listed
below represent the most well-known, more will be added
as they come to our attention.
Before donating to any organization, we encourage potential contributors to vet the organization as carefully as possible. BlueCheck Ukraine is one respected resource that can help do this.
Ultimately, we recognize that there are countless, compassionate Americans who want to do something to help Ukrainians but don't know where to
start. That's why we have created a list that is as diverse and
comprehensive as possible, in the hope that millions of
people will find even one organization whose mission
resonates with them and will support its efforts.
Thank you and Slava Ukraini!

“Razom was born out of the Revolution of Dignity in 2014 when millions of people worked together and risked their lives to build a pathway to a better future for Ukraine. Those who were unable to be in Ukraine during this time, wanted to do their part to help the movement as best they could from abroad. In New York, a handful of the organizers and participants of those activities decided to form an organization that could help sustain momentum and propel forward the important work started on the Maidan. They named it Razom, which means 'together' in Ukrainian and serves as a constant reminder of the community that it takes to create, build and do, to stay the path towards a more prosperous and democratic Ukraine. Today, the sovereign nation of Ukraine has to deal with the most horrendous and catastrophic emergency – a brutal invasion. Razom is responding to this by providing critical humanitarian war relief and recovery depending on the most urgent needs as they evolve.”

We are gravely concerned for children in Ukraine and around the world who might be caught in the middle of armed conflict. Conflict means hunger, poverty, danger, no healthcare, loss of education and fear. Nearly 200 million children are living in the most lethal war zones, experiencing unspeakable horrors with devastating and life change consequences. They are in desperate need of care and protection.” [According to its website, Save the Children does not currently have a dedicated fundraising effort that donors can contribute to that specifically helps Ukrainian children.]
