“Lifeline Ukraine is a national, professional, suicide prevention and mental health support hotline, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ukraine too often loses veterans to suicide, and this problem needed to be addressed, Lifeline Ukraine was established to provide help for veterans and their family members first and foremost. Lifeline Ukraine was founded by Paul Niland, an Irish writer and commentator and businessman who has been a resident of Ukraine for almost 20 years. The project was initiated in 2019 at the request of the then Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Ulana Suprun. The project also enjoys support from the Ministries of Veterans’ Affairs, the Ministry of Social Policy, and the Ministry of Defence.”

“The Voices of Children Foundation has been helping children affected by the war since 2015. Thanks to you, we provide psychological and psychosocial support to children. It helps them overcome the consequences of armed conflict and develop. Today, during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are providing non-stop assistance to affected children and families from all over the country, providing emergency psychological assistance, and assisting in the evacuation process.”

“Vostok-SOS is a non-governmental organization that started as a volunteer civil initiative and a hotline in May 2014. We were one of the first volunteer initiatives whose activists began to provide assistance to victims of the military aggression in the east of the country and in Crimea. We helped to find shelter for internally displaced persons (IDPs), assisted in the evacuation of people from the conflict zone, collected and distributed humanitarian aid to IDPs in Kyiv as well as delivered humanitarian aid to front-line settlements, and provided psychological first aid. We also participated in the search, release and rehabilitation of victims of abductions, monitored and documented human rights violations and reported on the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.”

“Caritas-Spes, which means 'Love' and 'Hope' in Latin, is a charitable mission of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine. As the military conflict is still raging in the East of Ukraine, Caritas-Spes performs activities such as distribution of food, clothing and medicine. It provides psychological assistance to people in need and even some financial support to those living in areas that are not under government control. Caritas-Spes has also started a significant medical project which involves activities mainly in the Eastern part of the country. (See also Caritas Poland.)”

CDP is also in contact with and can grant to Ukrainian and other international organizations that are not 501(c)3 entities.”

“ChildFund is a nonprofit organization working toward a world where every child is free to live at their fullest potential, no matter where they’re from or what challenges they face. Children and families throughout Ukraine are either fleeing, hiding, digging out of rubble or worse after Russia attacked the country from three sides early on February 24. Convoy continues to send small, unmarked vehicles across the Ukrainian border, which are full of relief supplies like food, water, hygiene items, bedding supplies, clothes, and other necessities. Convoy of Hope has not waivered in its mission to meet Ukrainians where they are, supporting them as they live day by day.”

“CORE is a charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are a crisis response organization that brings immediate aid and recovery to underserved communities across the globe. When a crisis strikes, we respond immediately to fill gaps, mobilize resources, and establish trust and collaboration from within communities to empower them to break perennial cycles of poverty and vulnerability. CORE is on the ground in Poland and Romania working with international and local partners to support the immediate needs of people fleeing war in Ukraine. Mass displacement leads to a host of health problems. Direct Relief is already working with medical manufacturers to source the medical aid needed in the coming weeks and months.”

“Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) staff are on the ground in Ukraine assessing humanitarian needs, delivering urgent medical supplies, providing training to hospitals on how to manage mass casualty incidents, and preparing to further expand activities. So far we have brought in more than 4,200 cubic feet of medical supplies, including surgical kits, trauma kits, and other basic necessities.”

 “United Hatzalah is an organization of over 6,200 volunteers (medics, paramedics and doctors) who provide an immediate response within minutes of any medical incident for free. More than 150,000 refugees have crossed the Moldovan border [from Ukraine] so far. The majority of them were women and children…. [T]he elderly, who were stopped in their tracks, were Holocaust survivors who had already been through horrific tragedies. We immediately shifted into gear at United Hatzalah headquarters in Jerusalem yesterday, preparing for this morning's second charter flight. We have successfully filled to capacity the aircraft with medical equipment for our field hospital in Moldova and other necessary supplies for the refugees such as food and hygiene products. The flight will then return to Israel with Israelis stuck in the region and then is expected to make a return trip with more equipment and bring back additional refugees.”

“HealthRight has operated in Ukraine continuously since 2005, with 119 dedicated staff (all Ukrainian nationals) working in every region to strengthen the public health system and increase access to quality health services. Since 2016, they have provided housing, health care, and social support to over 125,000 people affected by violence in and around the occupied territories. Today our staff are themselves affected by needless violence, fleeing their homes for the nearest bomb shelter. Despite this, our teams continue to work remotely under incredible duress.”

“Heart to Heart International (HHI) is a global humanitarian organization focused on improving access to health. Since its inception in 1992, HHI has delivered medical aid and supplies worth $2.4 billion to more than 130 countries, including within the United States. Throughout this humanitarian crisis [in Ukraine], Heart to Heart International (HHI) and HOPE worldwide (HOPEww) have been working around the clock to provide support and essential aid to people and families in Ukraine. HHI shipped $20 million (54 pallets) containing over 30,000 pounds of medicine and supplies from their warehouse in Lenexa, Kansas, to HOPEww’s team on the ground in Warsaw, Poland, so they can transport it into Ukraine to help the Ukrainian Ministry of Health restock hospitals and clinics. As the needs grow, more plans are being worked on to provide additional short-term and long-term support for the people of Ukraine.”

“Humanity & Inclusion (the new name of Handicap International) is a 38-year-old independent and impartial organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Teams in Ukraine & Moldova include experts in rehabilitation, logistics, mental health and psychosocial support, basic needs, and the inclusion of persons with disabilities and older people. In addition to providing specialized rehabilitation services, psychosocial support and cash distribution, among other initiatives, Humanity & Inclusion is providing assistive mobility devices such as wheelchairs, canes and walkers.”

“The ICRC is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence. The ICRC has been working in Ukraine since 2014. Our operations in the country are among the ten largest ICRC operations worldwide with a team of over 600 staff members. Working closely with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, we are increasing our response to the humanitarian needs in Ukraine. Our support to people includes emergency assistance such as food, water, and other essential items. We also help families separated by the conflict reconnect.”

“IFAW has received a tremendous global response to the emergency aid we're providing to our local animal shelter partners in Ukraine. At several border crossing points along the Ukrainian-Polish border, refugee welcome centers have been set up. Every day, thousands of refugees come in who need a place to stay overnight, before continuing their journey into Poland and from there other neighboring countries. Our team has visited several of these border crossings, supporting the local veterinary teams and distributing water, pet food, harnesses and carriers to refugees who have fled Ukraine with their pets.”

“Nova Ukraine is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about Ukraine in the US and throughout the world and providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine. We work closely with non-profits and volunteers focused on helping Ukraine. We organize fundraisers, meetings with Ukrainian famous people, round tables discussions dedicated to Ukraine and Ukrainian culture and participate in various cultural events.. As the situation on the ground in Ukraine continues to change rapidly, delivering supplies to critical cities remains hazardous and difficult. In addition to immediate relief, we purchase life-saving medical supplies and equipment so badly needed in Ukraine, which we also transport for rapid delivery. “Founded in 1958, Project HOPE is a renowned global health and humanitarian relief organization. Our lifesaving work addresses the world’s greatest public health challenges, transforming lives and uplifting communities. Project HOPE began working in Ukraine in 2002 and continues to rapidly scale up activities in Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, and Romania, with full teams including leads, medical coordinators, mental health specialists, and logisticians in place. We continue to procure and deliver medical supplies into Ukraine, as well as to support local NGOs in providing support to impacted populations.”

“Razom was born out of the Revolution of Dignity in 2014 when millions of people worked together and risked their lives to build a pathway to a better future for Ukraine. Today, the sovereign nation of Ukraine has to deal with the most horrendous and catastrophic emergency – a brutal invasion.  Razom is responding to this by providing critical humanitarian war relief and recovery depending on the most urgent needs as they evolve.”

“Salvation Army, an international movement, has a long-standing presence in Ukraine and neighboring countries. Because we are already part of the communities in which we serve, we are on the ground and ready to respond and serve immediately in times of need such as this. In light of the ongoing crisis, The Salvation Army is providing hope, healing, and comfort to displaced and affected families and individuals. We are serving those impacted and displaced by the ongoing crisis with food, shelter, and spiritual care.”

“Save the Children was the first global movement for children, boldly declaring that children have rights. We are gravely concerned for children in Ukraine and around the world who might be caught in the middle of armed conflict. Conflict means hunger, poverty, danger, no healthcare, loss of education and fear. Nearly 200 million children are living in the most lethal war zones, experiencing unspeakable horrors with devastating and life change consequences. They are in desperate need of care and protection.” [According to its website, Save the Children does not currently have a dedicated fundraising effort that donors can contribute to that specifically helps Ukrainian children.]

“ShelterBox USA is an international disaster relief charity whose mission is to deliver humanitarian relief in the form of life saving equipment that bring shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by natural disasters and crises worldwide. Our team in eastern Europe is now working in Moldova while coordinating with partners in Poland and Ukraine. “Sunflower of Peace is a non-profit organization committed to helping Ukrainians affected by the Russian military invasion. Due to the current crisis in Ukraine, Sunflower of Peace started a new fundraiser to provide medical and humanitarian aid that will be used by the paramedics and doctors in the areas that are affected by the violence in Ukraine. We are acquiring and distributing first-aid backpacks, medicine, medical instruments, and other means of survival that are saving hundreds of lives.”

“Team Humanity is a not-for-profit humanitarian organization committed to providing humanitarian and educational outreach to vulnerable communities in the US and abroad by responding to major emergencies, fighting disease and poverty, as well as nurturing and promoting human welfare. “The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) was created in 1946 to bring emergency food and health care to children and mothers in countries devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF's mandate was extended to address long-term needs of children and women in developing countries worldwide. UNICEF has been working nonstop in eastern Ukraine, delivering lifesaving programs for affected children and families as fighting has taken an increasingly heavy toll on the civilian population of 3.4 million people — including 510,000 children — living in the Donbas region. As needs escalate in line with the conflict, UNICEF is rapidly stepping up emergency response efforts from field offices in Kramatorsk, Mariupol, Luhansk and Donetsk while also working with partners to expand relief operations across the country.”

“UNHCR, or the UN Refugee Agency, was established in 1950 to provide and coordinate international relief for refugees and displaced people. UNHCR has been working in Ukraine since 1994, alongside local authorities, partners and community organizations to deliver protection and humanitarian assistance to people in need and remains on the ground to help now. UNHCR is distributing emergency supply kits with items like thermal blankets and water cans. UNHCR is also helping to set up transit centers to assess the needs of newly displaced people and provide temporary shelter. The most vulnerable families are receiving cash assistance to address urgent needs.”

“United Nations World Food Programme is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, saving lives in emergencies and using food assistance to build a pathway to peace, stability and prosperity for people recovering from conflict, disasters and the impact of climate change. The WFP is on the ground right now providing critical food assistance for people fleeing the conflict [in Ukraine]… and we are setting up operations in neighboring countries to facilitate delivery of food assistance into Ukraine.”

“United Sikhs is a U.N. affiliated, international, non-profit, non-governmental, humanitarian relief, education, human development and advocacy organization that aims to empower those in need, especially disadvantaged and minority communities around the world. UNITED SIKHS has volunteers from around the globe at our base camp at the Polish-Ukrainian border serving thousands of refugees daily. Our teams are entering into the warzone in Ukraine several times a day to provide emergency medical aid including urgent requests by Ukrainian government for a list of medications. We have set up a heated tent that is serving as a temporary refuge to over 5000 refugees a day with beds, blankets, toys and other supplies. Our food truck at the base camp is serving hot meals and snacks to 5000-6500 refugees per day . Our supply tents are distributing life-saving relief supplies including Female Hygiene and Sanitation Kits, Dental Kits, Children’s items, Clothing and other essentials. With enhanced security and strict protocols, our teams are helping prevent human trafficking attempts and reporting suspects.”

United Way partners are vetted, nonpartisan organizations that are on the ground and providing vital help and hope to those who need it most. Current partners include United Way Romania, United Way Hungary, and Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw (Good Initiatives Foundation) in Poland, but additional partners will be identified as the needs shift and become more clear.”

WCK has been serving meals to thousands of families escaping the violence in Ukraine and people still remaining in the country each day.”

WID through our role in the Global Alliance for Disaster Resource Acceleration (GADRA) has launched a full scale response in support of people with disabilities in Ukraine. For over 30 days Fight For Right and GADRA have been working 24/7 to help fellow Ukrainians with disabilities to evacuate; tirelessly pursuing accessible transportation, necessary resources, and information, to safe accessible destinations.”

“World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God. World Vision is working to support refugees in Romania, where we aim to provide hundreds of thousands of people with essential aid, including emergency assistance packages and educational and psychological support. We’re also working with partners to support refugees in Moldova and within Ukraine to support displaced families. We’ve delivered much-needed food and medical supplies to a hospital in Ukraine that is also serving as a temporary shelter for displaced children and their families.”
